  • The area around Shin-Takashima is now a must-see spot in Minato Mirai. Among them, Shiseido’s urban open lab S/PARK, which opened in 2019, is attracting the attention of women. This is an attempt to bring about innovation by bringing researchers and consumers closer to each other by moving research institutes from the suburbs to the city. For this purpose, they opened the first and second floors as community spaces. With the theme of “place to find the ideas for beauty”, there are various contents such as a museum, cafe, beauty corner, exercise studio, etc. The space is designed by Ooki Sato, who is attracting attention in Japan and overseas. The laboratory-inspired space design, such as the bench at the entrance which is a sculpture of sticky notes for writing down ideas, and the glass-walled lab space where researchers in white coats come and go, is also a highlight.
  • There is an interactive museum on the second floor that consists of four zones. They have small experiment equipment in each corner, such as facial cleansing and sun care, so you can understand the principles of facial cleansing and sunscreen through experiments. Past cosmetics packages, advertisements, and the PR magazine “Hanatsubaki” will also be on display, where you can enjoy Shiseido’s world of beauty, created together with designers at the forefront of the times.
  • After experiencing the museum to your heart’s content, go to the cafe on the first floor. They have vegetable-based healthy meals, sweets, and drinks on the concept of “Vegecentric”. Meals are delicatessen style, where you can choose your favorite dishes from the open kitchen. The open space is comfortable, and nearby office workers and madams enjoy a leisurely lunch. The view of Minato Mirai changes every day behind the big glass window. What will you find next?
