- The Hatsukou and Hinodecho district (Hatsunecho, Koganecho and Hinodecho) used to be where illegal brothels were lined up. In order to revitalize the area, the local residents, the police, the government, and the NPO Koganecho Area Management Center worked together on “city planning through art”. It features a studio, production space, and exhibition space, as well as a residence for artists, and the “Koganecho BASE”, where artists and children can work on manufacturing. As a city of artists filled with children’s laughter, this area is now resurrected and revitalized with art.

Art is displayed under the viaduct between Keihin Kyuko Hinodecho Station and Koganemachi Station and when there is an exhibition, it is displayed at Hinode Studio, Site A, etc. Near Hinodecho Station is the Koganecho Art Book Bazaar, a secondhand bookstore that sells used art books.
