- Chigusa has two faces. Cafe time is the time to listen to records with coffee in one hand. From 18:00, you can enjoy drinking while listening to live performances, DJs, and picture-story shows with piano performances. It was closed once, but revived on March 11, 2012 by the late founder Mamoru Yoshida and the fans of the venue. It is the oldest existing JAZZ cafe in Japan. It is operated by a general incorporated association. Shoji Kasahara, a music producer and one of the staff, says, “I go to Marche and Festa with a 100 year-old phonograph, records, and coffee to help people know more about Chigusa”.
