  • A one-hour drive from MATSUE EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU brings you to Inasa-no-hama Beach, a revered site in Japanese mythology. Known as the setting of the Kuniyuzuri myth, this sacred shore is where countless gods gather during the“ Kamiarizuki” month. At its center stands Benten-jima Island, bathed in the golden hues of the setting sun a breathtaking scene that evokes a deep sense of reverence.

    From Inasa-no-hama Beach, a short drive takes you to Izumo Oyashiro, one of Japan’s most significant shrines. The main hall of the shrine, known as“Amenohisuminomiya” faces Inasa-no-hama Beach, symbolizing the deep connection between the gods and this sacred land.

The Hinomisaki Shrine, dedicated to Amaterasu and Susanoo, reflects the harmony of sunrise and sunset deities. In winter and spring, thousands of black-tailed gulls flock to the area, their graceful movements adding life to the golden horizon.
