Limited-time Japanese Kaiseki Dinner Featuring Matsutake
- Matsutake is a fragrant mushroom that signals the coming of the fall season in the country. Japanese restaurant “Karamatsu” serves dishes made from seasonal ingredients in a Japanese modern style space. On September 1, they start offering “Wa Kaiseki (Japanese course)” dinner featuring a variety of Matsutake dishes such as “Dobinmushi (steamed Matsutake in a tea pot),” “Sukiyaki Konabe (small-sized Sukiyaki),” and “Matsutake Gohan (rice)”! While they highlight the beauty of ingredients, they entertain you with the brilliant combination of different textures and tastes. The “Wa Kaiseki” is a ten-course dinner including Sashimi (sliced raw fish) and seasonal fruit. It tells you the start of the fall season in Hokkaido which comes earwaslier than in mainland.

- On September 2, the “Southwest” restaurant starts offering the Afternoon Tea menu using fall seasonal ingredients. They provide six sweet desserts such as “Airy,” a marron and chocolate mousse in the shape of a cloud, and “Kito Yuzu (aromatic citron produced in the Kito area) no Madeleine” made of the brand citron from Tokushima prefecture, as well as four savory dishes including “Sandwich of Broiled Mackerel and Cream Cheese.” You can choose drinks such as eight types of tea selected for these items. The ongoing renovation of the exterior is scheduled to finish in mid-November. When the work is completed, the view from Susukino Station will dramatically change.
